  • 7 tablespoons butter cold
  • 2/3 cup refined sugar
  • 6 3/4 tablespoons mayonnaise cold
  • 2 3/8 cups flour
  • granulated sugar to coat

Directions

    Cut the cold butter into small pieces, and beat it with the sugar for 5 minutes, until obtaining a soft and light cream.

    Add the mayonnaise, and stir with a spatula until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.

    Gradually, add the flour until the dough is malleable and consistent (you may use more or less flour).

    Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.

    Resume kneading with your hands, and shape small balls or circles.

    Coat the balls with the granulated sugar, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden.
