  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 3/4 c. milk (soak bread crumbs in milk)
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (20 oz.) jar apple jelly
  • 1 1/2 bottle chili sauce
  • 1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup

Directions

    Saute onion in two tablespoons of butter until soft.

    Add to bread crumbs.

    Add beef, seasoniong and egg.

    Form into one inch balls, and bake in oven on broiler rack at 400° until brown.

    Drain on paper towel.
