Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 3/4 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 1 can commercial pasta sauce
  • 1 small pkg. fresh mushrooms (sliced)

Directions

    Heat pasta sauce and add mushrooms; simmer 30 to 35 minutes. Mix all other ingredients and shape into balls.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes; drain.

    Add to sauce; simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve over cooked pasta.
