Ingredients

  • 6 hard rolls
  • garlic salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. cream of tomato soup concentrate

    Cut slice from top of rolls and hollow out the center of each. Reserve crumbs for meat mixture.

    Season softened butter with garlic salt and spread on inside of rolls.

    Saute onion and pepper in 1 tablespoons butter.

    Soften bread crumbs in tomato soup and egg.
  5. 5
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Fill rolls with mixture.

    Place on a shallow pan (use nonstick spray) and bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.

    Can be made in advance and frozen.
