Ingredients

  • 1 lb. meat (hamburger; part sausage can be used)
  • 1 c. cracker or bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs per lb. meat
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • onions and celery to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • enough milk to hold together

Directions

    Beat eggs.

    Add remaining ingredients, mixing well.

    Place in ovenware bowl or pan, shaping into a round or oblong loaf.

    Add ketchup and several strips of uncooked bacon over loaf.

    Bake uncovered at 325° until done, approximately 1 hour, depending on width of loaf.
