Meat-Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • chopped onion
  • oil
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 can tomatoes, broken up
  • 1 c. uncooked rice

Directions

    Brown chopped onion in small amount of oil.

    Add ground meat and brown; break it up as it cooks.
  3. 3
    Add salt, pepper, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, green pepper, tomatoes and rice. Cook in a greased covered baking dish at 350° or until rice is done.

    Be sure the rice is covered with liquid so it will not dry out and be sure the lid fits well.

    (Aluminum foil works well.)
