- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Dissolve cornstarch; add 1/2 cup water, boil until thick. Cool.

2Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and baking powder until soft peaks form.

3Slowly add sugar.

4Beat until glossy.

5Then beat in cooled, thickened mixture.

6Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

7Makes high meringue, does not weep.
