- 6 Tbsp. sugar (2 Tbsp. per egg white)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until beginning to get double or fluffy.

2Start sprinkling sugar over whites, while continuing beating, until thick and all of sugar is used; if you tilt bowl over, it will not slide out.

3Add vanilla during last of beating.

4After putting meringue over pie, bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown.
