- 1 lb. walnuts
- dash of salt
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
- 1/2 c. oleo
Directions

1Toast nuts in oven until light brown.

2Beat egg whites.

3Beat in sugar and salt until stiff.

4Fold nuts into meringue.

5Melt butter in cookie pan and spread nuts over butter.

6Bake at 325° for approximately 40 minutes.

7Stir every 10 minutes or until nuts are coated with browned covering and no butter remains in pan. Cool on paper towels.

8Great for gift giving.
