  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 8 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Beat egg whites until foamy.

    Add cream of tartar and water. Beat until stiff and in peaks.

    Add sugar, 1 or 2 at a time.

    Beat well after each addition.

    Beat until very stiff.

    Spread over pie.

    Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
