Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 1 sweet green pepper, chopped
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans pinto beans, drained (reserve juice)
  • 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can taco sauce
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, chopped or mashed
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. comino seed

Directions

    In large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the meat.

    Drain off all grease; saute onion and pepper.

    Combine all ingredients in skillet or Dutch oven.

    Cover and simmer about 1 hour.

    Add some of the liquid from the beans if it's too dry.
