  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 can corn (whole kernel)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cans jalapeno peppers, chopped

Directions

    Grate American cheese; set aside.

    Mix remaining ingredients. Pour 1/2 of the batter into 10 x 10-inch pan.

    Spread cheese over batter.
