- 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/3 c. bacon drippings
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 small can cream-style corn
- 3 or 4 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except cheese.

2Pour 1/2 the mixture into 12-inch greased pan or skillet.

3Sprinkle on cheese.

4Pour on remaining mixture.

5Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until brown.
