  • 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. Bisquick or self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 small can creamed corn
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. oil or melted butter
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar

Directions

    In food processor, chop onion and jalapeno pepper.

    Add sugar, chili powder, salt and Cheddar.

    Coat large, cast-iron frypan with bacon grease.

    Pour in all mixed ingredients and bake at 375° about 30 to 40 minutes.
