- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/3 c. bacon drippings
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 small jar pimento
- 1 can (No. 3) creamed corn
- 1/2 lb. ground round
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 to 6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
Directions

1Mix first 8 ingredients and set aside.

2Cook ground round, place on pepper towel to drain.

3Combine all ingredients and put into baking pan in which you have already sprinkled a thin layer of cornmeal and slightly browned.

4Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until done.
