- 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 3 whole eggs
- 1/2 c. cooking oil
- 1 c. grated cheese
Directions

1Mix all ingredients, except cheese.

2Prepare baking pan as for regular cornbread. Pour half of mixture into pan.

3Put cheese on this.

4Add remainder of mixture.

5Top with rest of cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
