  • 1.5 c yellow corn meal
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 3/4 corn oil
  • 1 c cream style corn
  • 1 small can green chilis (or 3 chopped and seeded jalapeno peppers)
  • 1 c grated sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

    Mix together all ingredients except cheese. Pour half of the mixture in a lightly oiled 9 x 13 pyrex dish. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the mixture, and top with remaining batter. Bake 45 min. to 1 hour in 350 degree oven.
