Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, venison)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. chopped chilies
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 16 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (16 oz.) jars salsa (1 mild and 1 medium)
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. large flour tortillas

Directions

    Cook meat and onion until brown; drain fat.

    Add taco seasoning mix to meat mixture.

    Add chilies.

    Cut tortillas into thirds.

    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer salsa, meat, cheese and tortillas in that order.

    End with layer of tortillas topped with cheese.

    Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes at 350°.
