  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cilantro (sliced)
  • 1 (optional) tomato diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 packages sazon (all purpose seasoning)
  • 1 tbsp Goya brand sofrito (optional)
  • 1 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 lime / lemon

Directions

    Heat pan with oil.

    Once heated, place garlic, onion, cilantro, green onions and tomato in pan with oil.

    Let it simmer for a few minutes.

    Add the cup of rice to the pan (medium-low fire) and mix around so that all the simmered ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

    Add tomato sauce, sazon, and sofrito.

    Mix well.

    Add water and salt.

    Once boiling, bring down to a low heat.

    Cover and let sit for approx 20 min.
