  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 c. apples, peeled and sliced (about 7 tart)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • pastry for 9-inch double crust pie

    Combine sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.

    Mix lightly with apples and lemon juice.

    Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.

    Dot with butter.

    Cover with top crust.

    Cut 5 to 6 slits on top of crust.

    Microwave on High 8 minutes.

    Place in a 425° oven for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
