- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup Italian-style short grain rice, uncooked
- 1-3/4 cups chicken broth, warmed
- 1/3 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese
Directions

1Combine butter, onion and mushrooms in 3-L casserole dish; cover with lid.

2Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes until onion is crisp-tender, stirring after each minute.

3Add rice; stir to evenly coat.

4Stir in hot broth.

5Microwave, covered, 4 to 6 minutes or until broth comes to a boil; stir.

6Microwave, covered, on MEDIUM 7 to 9 minutes or until broth is absorbed.

7(Rice should be tender, but firm.)

8Stir in cheese.

9Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
