- 1 1/2 c. suga
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- dash of salt
- 2 c. dry roasted peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Put sugar, corn syrup, 1/2 cup water, salt and peanuts in a 2-quart saucepan or casserole.

2Cook on High (maximum power) for 5 minutes; stir.

3Cook on High (maximum power) for 13 to 15 minutes or until the syrup separates and threads.

4This is the hard crack stage or 300° on a candy thermometer.

5Check temperature with thermometer several times during the last few minutes.

6Don't leave thermometer in oven while cooking.
