- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Mix shortening and powdered sugar thoroughly. Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

2Press mixture firmly in oblong 11 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.

3Microwave, uncovered, on High (100%) for 2 minutes. Turn dish 1/4 turn.

4Microwave until no longer doughy, 2 to 3 minutes.

5Mix remaining ingredients. Spread over hot layer.

6Microwave 3 minutes.

7Turn dish 1/4 turn. Microwave 3 minutes.

8Cool. Cut into bars about 3 x 1-inch.

9Makes 28 bars.
