Microwave Vegetable Casserole

  • 2 (10 oz.) boxes frozen French-style green beans
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 (14 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onion rings

Directions

    In a 2-quart casserole dish, combine frozen beans and onion. Pour 1/4 cup water over top, cover and microwave for 14 to 16 minutes until tender-crisp.

    Stir once during cooking.

    Drain well and combine remaining ingredients except the onion rings. Microwave for another 15 minutes, stirring and turning once during cooking.

    When cook time remaining hits the 2 minute mark, top casserole with the French fried onion rings.
