Ingredients
- 1/2 c. corn meal
- 1/2 c. whole wheat cereal (Ralston)
- 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 to 4 c. unbleached white flour
Directions

1Pour 1 pint boiling water over corn meal, wheat cereal and oatmeal.

2Cool to 100°.

3Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and add to mixture.

4Stir well.

5Add honey, 1 cup warm water and salt. Stir in whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup at a time.

6When the dough is too stiff to stir with a spoon, use your hands.

7Add enough flour to make a sticky dough.

8Knead on a floured board for 5 minutes (dough will be sticky).
