- 3 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/8 c. milk
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.

2Cut in shortening. Add egg and milk all at once.

3Mix until dough forms a ball.

4Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll out and cut.

5(Do not roll very thin.)

6Bake on lightly greased baking sheet at 475° for 12 to 15 minutes.
