  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring

Directions

    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat.

    Mix all dry ingredients and sift into mixture. Add milk and flavoring.

    Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes at 325° in a prepared tube pan.

    Use a Caramel Icing.
