  • 6 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 medium can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • bananas, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 pt. cream, whipped
  • 1 can Angel Flake coconut, toasted

Directions

    Beat egg whites with sugar and cream of tartar until very stiff.

    Shape to fit a greased 10-inch pie plate and bake at 250° for 1 hour.

    Cool. When cooled, cover bottom of crust with a layer of pineapple, then a layer of sliced bananas.

    Next, cover with chopped nuts.

    Top nuts with whipped cream.

    Sprinkle pie with toasted coconut.

    Chill 6 hours before serving.
