  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 large carrots, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 instant Oxo beef cubes or 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon bisto or 1 tablespoon beef gravy
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • pepper
  • 4 medium potatoes, mashed

Directions

    In a saucepan combine 1 cup water, beef,onions,carrots, peas and oxo cubes.

    bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins.add rosemary and thyme.reduce the heat to simmer and cook uncovered for 1 hour -- Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of water and mix in the bisto.add this mixture to the stew and mix well stir until the stew thickens.add pepper to taste.

    Serve on mashed potatoes.
