  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 lb. lima or kidney beans
  • 1/4 lb. peas
  • 3 c. water (more if needed)
  • 1 to 2 chicken or vegetable bouillon cubes
  • 2 c. spaghetti sauce

Directions

    Simmer vegetables in water and bouillon cubes until tender, about 12 to 15 minutes.

    Add spaghetti sauce and simmer gently 5 minutes longer.
