- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 c. raw peanuts
- 1 c. raw cashews, chopped
- 3/4 c. slivered almonds
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Butter 2 large baking sheets.

2Butter the sides of a heavy 3-quart saucepan.

3In saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water and 1/2 cup margarine or butter.

4Cook over medium heat to boiling, stirring constantly with wooden spoon.

5This should take 5 minutes, then cook 30 to 35 minutes.

6Stir in nuts.

7Stir frequently 15 to 20 minutes; remove from heat.

8Quickly sprinkle sifted baking soda over mixture, stirring constantly.

9Immediately pour into baking sheets; let cool.

10Pull apart with forks.

11Store tightly covered.
