- 4 qt. freshly popped corn (not microwave)
- 2 c. dry toasted mixed nuts or peanuts
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 2/3 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250°.

2In a large shallow roasting pan or two 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pans, spread popcorn and nuts.

3In a heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan, stir together sugar, margarine and corn syrup.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.

5Continue cooking for 5 minutes without stirring.

6Remove. Stir in vanilla and soda.

7Pour over popcorn; stir to coat.

8Bake, uncovered, stirring occasionally for 1 hour.

9Cool.

10Break apart and store in airtight container.
