- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 14 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 2 cups flaked coconut
Directions

1Heat oven to 300 degrees.

2Lightly grease cookie sheets.

3Beat egg whites, coffee, cream of tartar, and salt in medium bowl on low speed until foamy.

4Beat in sugar, 1 Tablespoon at a time on high speed until stiff.

5Do not underbeat.

6Stir in cocoa until smooth.

7Fold in coconut.

8Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.

9Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until set.

10Cool 10 minutes, then remove from cookie sheet.

11Sprinkle with cocoa or drizzle with melted chocolate.
