- 2 pie shell crusts
- 1 stack Ritz crackers or saltines
- 2 c. water
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- butter or margarine
- cinnamon
Directions

1Break crackers coarsely into pie shell.

2Combine water, sugar and cream of tartar in pan.

3Boil for 15 minutes gently.

4Add lemon juice to mixture and cool.

5Pour syrup over crackers.

6Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

7Cover with top crust.

8Cut slits in top crust and bake at 400° to 425° for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
