- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs or the equivalent egg substitute
- 1 1/2 c. cake flour or 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. almond or lemon extract
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream together butter and shortening.

2As you continue to beat with mixer, gradually add sugar (do not pour all in at once).

3Add eggs one at a time.

4In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Add to creamed ingredients alternating with milk.

5Stir in extracts.

6Pour in greased and floured (9 x 5 x 3-inch) pan.

7Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.
