Ingredients
- 2 lb. beef stew meat
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 large carrots, in chunks
- 2 celery ribs, in chunks
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. dill pickle liquid
- 1 c. chili sauce
- 3/4 c. thinly sliced dill pickles
Directions

1Brown meat in butter in a Dutch oven.

2Add vegetables and seasonings.

3Mix liquids and add 1/2 of this to mixture.

4Cover and simmer about 2 hours.

5Add rest of liquid during cooking. Just before serving, add sliced pickles.

6Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
