Momma's Southern Fried Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup bacon fat
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 cup frozen corn

Directions

    put corn in bowl and allow to thaw.

    do not drain... add sugar, flour, 1/2 butter and salt and pepper.

    mix corn mixture well.

    put bacon drippings in skillet when hot add corn mixture to skillet.

    add 1/2 cup water... keep 1/2 cup of water on stand by.

    extra water may be needed if con becomes dry.

    add the other 1/2 of the butter..

    cover and put on low and let cook about 40-45 minutes.

    it should have almost all the water absorbed off of the corn.
