- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar plus 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. dry yeast (fast rising)
- 2 Tbsp. hot water
- 3 eggs
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Mix 1 stick butter, milk, 1/2 cup sugar and salt together. Heat until melted.

2Let cool.

3Mix yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and 2 tablespoons of hot water.

4Let stand.

5Add eggs to mixture, then add 2 cups flour and mix well.

6Add yeast mixture and 1 1/2 cups flour (save remaining 1/2 cup flour).

7Let rise until mixture doubles in size.

8Take remaining 1/2 cup flour and spread on bread board.

9Roll and knead dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

10Cut with biscuit cutter and dip into 1 stick of melted butter.

11Twist and place into 13 x 12 x 1/2-inch baking pan.

12Let rise again.

13Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes until browned.
