Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 8 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted

Directions

    Pour boiling water over the Crisco and sugar and cool. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

    Mix Crisco mixture with eggs and add flour until dough is a stiff batter.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Knead and dip rolls in melted margarine.

    Tear into small balls and jam together in bread pan.

    Let stand 3 hours. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, then 15 minutes at 350° or until done.
