- 2 yeast cakes
- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 6 c. flour
- melted butter or margarine
Directions

1Dissolve yeast cakes in warm water.

2Mix shortening, sugar and salt.

3Add flour and yeast mixture to the shortening mixture, alternately, until all is mixed.

4Beat and mix well.

5Let rise until double the size.
