  • 4 12 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon mace
  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 lb brown sugar
  • 10 eggs
  • 12 lb candied cherry
  • 12 lb candied pineapple
  • 1 lb dates
  • 1 lb raisins
  • 1 lb currants
  • 12 lb citron
  • 12 lb candied orange peel
  • 12 lb candied lemon peel
  • 12 lb pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 12 cup apple cider

    Sift flour once, measure add baking powder & spices.

    Sift together 3 times.

    Cream butter and add sugar gradually- cream until light and fluffy.

    Add remaining ingredients- adding flour gradually.

    Bake in 4 greased loaf pans- in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 3 1/2 hours-.
