Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 to 3 c. (1 lb. can) tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. mostaccioli noodles, cooked and drained
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 lb. sliced Velveeta

Directions

    Brown meat and drain.

    Add green peppers and onion and cook until tender.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water and seasonings.

    In a 2-quart casserole, layer half the noodles, meat sauce and Velveeta.

    Repeat layers.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake in oven at 350°

    for 30 minutes.
