  • 2 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. warm water
  • flour (enough to make non-sticky dough)

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in a little warm water.

    Heat milk to melt shortening.

    Add sugar and cool to lukewarm.

    Warm water; add salt.

    Combine all ingredients.

    Add flour to make a non-sticky dough.

    Cover and let rise in warm place.

    Punch down and make into buns.

    Let rise again and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes according to size of buns.
