- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 rounded Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1In 1/2 cup warm water, add yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Set aside.

3In bowl, put 1 cup boiling water, 3 rounded tablespoons shortening and 1/2 cup sugar.

4Dissolve and then add 1 cup cold water.

5Add yeast mixture and 1 tablespoon of salt.

6Add 5 or more cups flour and stir good.

7By hand, knead, but leave soft (just enough to work in flour).

8Grease bowl; put in dough.

9Let sit overnight in refrigerator or several hours.

10Form into rolls and bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

11Stays in refrigerator well for several days.
