Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients

  • 240 g bar mozzarella cheese
  • 200 g Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g flour
  • 500 ml canola oil

Directions

    Prep- Slice mozzarella bar about 1.5 cm wide slices along the width of the bar.

    Mix Italian Bread Crumbs and Flour on a plate.

    Whisk eggs together in a seprate bowl add milk if it is too thick.

    Oil- Heat all the canola oil in a medium sized frying pan.
  5. 5
    Coating- Dip the mozzarella slice in the egg and then the bread crumbs, repeating until you can no longer see the cheese.

    Once coated place directly into the heated oil.

    Frying- Use tongs to turn the mozzarella sticks.

    Once all sides are golden brown, promptly move them onto a plate with paper towel before the cheese starts oozing out.

    Serve with marinara if desired.
