   Mix sugar, Karo and water.

   Cook slowly until it forms a crystal in cold water.

   Pour slowly into beaten egg whites.

   Beat with mixer and then spoon until ready to drop on wax paper.

   Pecans or coconut can be added just before it hardens.

   It can also be colored with food coloring, if desired.
