Ingredients

  • 1/2-lb. medium-size shell pasta
  • 1/2-lb. Provolone cheese, cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1/4-lb. Salami, diced
  • 1/4-lb. Mortadella, diced
  • 1/4-lb. boiled ham, diced
  • 10 jumbo black olives, pitted and sliced
  • 10 queen olives (large green), stuffed with pimentos, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small rib celery, chopped
  • 1/4 c. fresh flat-leaf Italian parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 small cloves garlic, finely chopped

    Muffuletta salad:

    Cook pasta shells according to pkg. directions until firm but tender, Drain well, rinse with cold water, drain well again.

    Place pasta in a large bowl.

    Add the Provolone, Salami, Mortadella, ham, olives, onions, celery, parsley, thyme and garlic.

    Toss until well blended.
