Ingredients

  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms (large)
  • 3/4 c. celery, chopped fine
  • 3/4 c. bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 2 large onions, chopped fine
  • 3 pods garlic, chopped fine
  • 1/2 bunch green onions, chopped fine
  • parsley (handful), chopped fine
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 heaping c. raw rice
  • salt and red pepper to taste

Directions

    Use a 5-quart glass covered dish.

    Melt butter in dish and stir in all ingredients, adding rice last.

    Bake at 375° for 50 minutes.

    Do not lift lid.

    Let cool 15 minutes before you lift lid.

    Then stir.
