Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. diced green peppers
  • 1/4 c. diced red peppers
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. white sauce or 1 can cream of chicken soup plus 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onion and peppers in butter.

    Stir in white sauce or soup mixture, mushrooms and basil.

    Simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through.
