Mushroom Spaetzle

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 None onions, peeled and cut into short strips
  • 1 lb crimini mushrooms, halved or quartered depending on size
  • 1 lb fresh spaetzle
  • 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg

Directions

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a frying pan and saute the onion and mushrooms for 5 mins. Season with salt and black pepper.

    In a separate frying pan, heat 2 tbsp butter and fry the spaetzle for 10 mins, until golden brown all over. Season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg. Add the mushroom mixture and stir.
